Child & Adolescent Services
SpectraCare’s Child & Adolescent Services provide comprehensive, developmentally appropriate behavioral health care for children and adolescents. Services are offered in a variety of settings—including in-home, school-based, outpatient, and through Intensive Care Coordination—to ensure accessibility and continuity of care. Our goal is to support mental health prevention, early intervention, treatment, and coordinated care that promotes healthy development and long-term well-being.
Services are delivered through an integrated approach that emphasizes collaboration with families, caregivers, primary medical providers, schools, and community partners. By working together, we help children and adolescents build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and succeed at home, in school, and in their communities.
Working with our future
Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
help kids, teens, and families with different mental health or emotional challenges. In these services, you meet with a trained helper (called a clinician) to learn skills that can make life healthier and happier, while still keeping up with school, family, and friends. You can get help in groups, one-on-one, or with your family, and there are also people who help you connect to the services you need. You can start outpatient programs by calling our Access To Care Team at 1-800-951-4357.
Juvenile Court Liaison Services
Juvenile Court Liaison Services support youth involved with the juvenile justice system who require mental health and/or substance use services. The liaison works closely with the courts, families, and service providers to ensure timely access to appropriate treatment, promote diversion when possible, and support positive, recovery-oriented outcomes.
Intensive In-Home Services
Intensive In-Home Services provide targeted, family-centered interventions delivered in the home and community. These services focus on stabilizing behaviors, strengthening family relationships, and improving overall quality of life for children, adolescents, and their caregivers.
Supplemental Services for Student Success (S4 Program)
The Supplemental Services for Student Success (S4) Program is a school-based mental health initiative available to students in Houston County, Dothan City, Geneva City, Barbour County, Daleville City, and Dale County Schools. The S4 Program supports emotional wellness, early identification of mental health needs, and improved academic and behavioral outcomes by providing accessible mental health services within the school environment.
Youth Peer Support Services (CPS-Y)
Youth Peer Support Services offer structured, recovery-oriented activities led by Youth Certified Peer Specialists (CPS-Y). These services promote socialization, self-advocacy, independent living skills, and personal recovery. Youth—and families when appropriate—are empowered to actively guide their own service plans based on individual strengths, needs, and preferences.
Youth Peer Specialists provide coaching and support to build resilience, encourage healthy lifestyles, reduce mental and physical health risks, and strengthen self-management and informed decision-making. They also assist children and adolescents in navigating service systems, accessing community resources, and participating effectively in wraparound and care planning processes.
Youth Parent Peer Support Services
Youth Parent Peer Support Services provide structured, family-centered support led by Parent Certified Peer Specialists. These services promote recovery, self-advocacy, socialization, and community living skills while empowering parents and caregivers to actively lead service planning based on their family’s needs and preferences.
Parent Peer Specialists offer coaching and support to build resilience, encourage healthy lifestyles, reduce mental and physical health risks, and strengthen self-management and informed decision-making. They also assist parents and caregivers in navigating child-serving systems, accessing appropriate services and resources, and participating effectively in wraparound planning and care coordination.
Therapeutic Mentoring Services
Therapeutic Mentoring Services provide individualized, one-on-one support to help youth overcome behavioral health challenges that impact age-appropriate social functioning. Services are delivered in home, school, or community settings and are guided by an individualized treatment plan developed in collaboration with the youth’s clinician.
Therapeutic Mentors focus on restoring and strengthening daily living, social, and communication skills by supporting skill-building in real-life situations. Progress is regularly monitored and shared with the clinician to adjust goals as needed. Mentors supervise and coach effective peer interactions and social strategies, while maintaining a therapeutic focus and not providing recreational, educational, or vocational services.
Intensive Care Coordination
Intensive Care Coordination Services support children and adolescents with serious mental illness and complex needs. Care Coordinators provide advocacy and assistance with transportation, housing, basic living skills, and service coordination. By identifying cost-effective and essential resources, Care Coordinators help families navigate systems of care, promote stability, and support long-term recovery and wellness.
