SpectraCare Health Systems

Crisis Services

Located at 2740 Headland Avenue in Dothan, AL, the SpectraCare Crisis Care Center is a vital part of Alabama's Crisis System of Care. As the state's sixth crisis center, we provide compassionate, 24/7/365 support for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, or suicidal crises. Our facility serves as a safe haven for walk-ins, referrals from law enforcement, first responders, EMS, hospitals, and community members in need.

We are proud to offer immediate, tailored care to help stabilize crises and connect individuals to ongoing recovery resources. Since opening, our center has joined a network that has supported over 16,000 Alabamians in beginning their journey to better health.

Grand Opening Celebration

On February 10, 2025, we celebrated the grand opening of our state-of-the-art facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by distinguished guests, including:

  • Governor Kay Ivey, who highlighted the center as a "game changer" for mental health access in Alabama.
  • Alabama Department of Mental Health Commissioner Kim Boswell, who noted the impact of the state's crisis initiative since its start in 2021.
